5. What is the Digital Broadcast Transition?
By February 2009, all broadcast television will be digital. If you don’t have access to digital cable, whether by your provider or television, you have until then to get a television that accepts digital cable. Interactive Optimum broadcasts all of its television digitally.

Optimum Online offers two tiers of internet access to its subscribers, as well as a third tier in beta testing:
- Standard Tier: 15 Mbit/s down, 2 Mbit/s up.
- Boost Tier: 30 Mbit/s down, 5 Mbit/s up.
- Currently in beta testing is an Ultra Tier: 50 Mbit/s down, 50 Mbit/s up.

Optimum Online bundles also vary on tier:
- Optimum Online: $29.95/month, for the first 6 months when you install it yourself.
- Optimum Online Boost: An additional $14.95/month; only an additional $9.95/month if you have Optimum Voice installed.
Optimum Voice offers two packages:
- Optimum Voice: $19.95/month
- Optimum Voice World Call: Additional $19.95 month, with free international calling.
